i am running Deluge through a proxy, to try and cover my tracks a bit better than i have done so far. but in the bottom, it shows my actual external IP, not the one assigned by the proxy.. all traffic does seem to be going through the proxy, so not sure if this is a bug or if the traffic is marked with my IP.
I am encrypting it all, but would feel more comfortable if i could see the Proxy assigned IP in Deluge instead of my own IP, when a proxy is in use..
otherwise i would like to know where it hides the log files, so i can take a look and see if there is an error.

Re: External IP showing actual IP
When using a proxy a good thing to do is also use the plugin ltConfig - http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... =9&t=42887
You should enable force-proxy and anonymous_mode. Then you can check what ip your bittorrent client is handing out at https://evilvibes.com

ItConfig does not seem to work.. installed it a few times with no luck..evilvibes wrote:When using a proxy a good thing to do is also use the plugin ltConfig - http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... =9&t=42887

but at least evilvibes does not get anything.. nothing at all.. do i need to run it for a while or will it return with something after just a few minutes.. have so far had it for 5 minutes.
Re: External IP showing actual IP
As long as your IP isn't coming up in the log your good to go. You should only see the proxy IP. I still recommend using ItConfig because if your not using force-proxy the client will default back to your IP if the Proxy server goes down.

As i said, it does not seem to work, i get nothing to configure when it is enabled. and i did install the latest version, with the right python version as well..evilvibes wrote:As long as your IP isn't coming up in the log your good to go. also, no ip is showing at all.. it shows nothing at all as if it does not even see me trying to download it.. now i left it on my computer over night, with nothing showing on the site.. i guess this is good, but i do not know..
Re: External IP showing actual IP
this is what you should be seeing from the client and plugin and the site. I have no idea what your settings are so hope this helps.
