Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (Not Responding)

Post by Squish »

I've just upgraded to version 1.3.15 after continuously getting the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (Not Responding) error.
I have updated all MS Visual C++ service packs but to no avail.

The link below shows the error, I get this same error with previous versions of Deluge.

Currently running Deluge on MS Surface Pro 64bit MS WIndowns 10

This is the last cry for help before uninstalling and finding a different torrent client / app
Happy to post a log file if someone can point me in the direction of where to find it.

What cpu architecture do you have and what filesystem? This may be a libtorrent issue

Can you try running Deluge in thinclient mode. Also if you can test with older versions of Deluge e.g. 1.3.12

Hi thanks for your reply,
after typing the following command I got:
cmd.exe /k echo %processor_architecture% AMD64

I'm running a 64bit OS

I have previously had the 1.3.12 version on this machine/an older Samsung laptop 64bit windows 10 but started to experience these same problems. I subsequently uninstalled and started to use uTorrent. Since then you've had a couple of updates but I'm still getting this same frustrating issue.

Apologies I don't know how to run my laptop in thin client mode

To run deluge in thinclient mode you untick 'classic mode' in prefs and start the deluge daemon manually from connection manager and it will run in the background even after closing UI.

Hi Cas, I thought we had it working then, it did last a little longer than usual before crashing.
As requested I ran the app in thin client mode by deselecting Classic Mode in preferences restarting the app, starting Daemon, then clicking connect.

So at least deluged is still running?

I don't have a answer to this issue as it appears related to gtk.

You can just reopen it and continue or as an alternative workaround enable webui.
