Removing and deleting torrent file in Deluge and on HD

sorry if i missed the option or can't seem to find it. every time i remove the torrent from Deluge, the torrent is removed, but the actual torrent file is still on the hard drive. is there a way to remove and delete torrent file all in one go?

Hi geranimos,

Removing the file in Deluge is followed by a popup windows asking the correct action. This one include the possibility to remove the torrents and the file.

I've checked and double checked. Everytime I click to remove torrent, it only removes the torrent from deluge. but the actual torrent file is still on the hard drive itself. the same can be said when I click remove data. the data is removed from the hard drive, the torrent is removed from deluge, but the actual torrent file is still on the hard drive.

It depends how you are adding the torrent to deluge, if manually adding it will not touch the original torrent file, if using Autoadd you can delete the torrent file upon adding and if using 'copy of' there is an option in preferences:
