Hi,
I'm trying to set up deluge as a seeder/tracker server in a school environment to distribute large files (ISOs, virtual machines, etc).
The server is an Ubuntu 14.04 and deluge version is the latest from the ppa (1.3.13).
I'm using a thin client set up, connecting to the server from Windows 10, using also version 1.3.13 of deluge.
Whenever I try to create a remote torrent, it fails. The steps I follow are: File->Create Torrent, add Remote path (i.e.: "/media/shared/ubuntu-16.04.1-desktop-i386.iso") and check "Add this torrent to the session".
The log file show the following messages:
[DEBUG ] 13:32:01 core:633 creating torrent..
[DEBUG ] 13:32:06 core:660 torrent created!
[DEBUG ] 13:32:06 torrentmanager:338 torrentmanager.add
[ERROR ] 13:32:06 torrentmanager:345 Unable to decode torrent file!: invalid bencoding
I've tried with several ISO files with the same result.
Thanks for your help.
