"Do Not Download" problems

Post by rmadd »

Just started using Deluge today. On several music torrents I've selected a few files, like album artwork, or certain songs which I don't care to download, as "Do Not Download" when adding the torrent, yet I end up finding part or all of a handful of these downloaded anyway. Is there another hidden setting somewhere I'm missing, or is this a glitch of some sort?

Do you have the issue with other clients? The way torrents work, all files are linked together.

If you have 3 files and only want file 2, then the first piece of file 2 will be the end of file 1 and the last piece of file 2 will be the beginning of file 3.

Nope. I used several versions of uTorrent over the past 8 years or so and can't recall having that problem even once.

If it bothers you too much, you can tray a custom libtorrent build like the in the FAQ link above that saves the extra parts in a temp file.
