IPV6 stopped working after libtorrent-rasterbar update

Post by Lenmaer »

Hello,
Since I updated libtorrent-rasterbar to the version 1.0.6 a couple of days ago, all my ipv6 connections stopped working.
Deluge now simply doesn't connect to any ipv6 tracker or peer anymore.
Anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

Thanks for your answers.

Maybe you upgraded to a build that had ipv6 disabled? I believe there is a switch to turn it on or off during compiling.

You are going to have to provide more info than that. What was the previous version for start and have you seen any error in logs.

Well, I'm running deluge 1.3.11 with ltConfig 0.2.5.0 on Ubuntu Linux 14.04.2. It runs on an OVH server.
And I use the windows Thin Client 1.3.11 (with ltConfig 0.2.5.0, too) to connect to it.
Here's a log of the update. No errors reported.

Code: Select all

Start-Date: 2015-09-07 13:14:16
Commandline: apt-get -y install python-libtorrent
Install: libtorrent-rasterbar8:amd64 (1.0.6-1~ppa1~trusty, automatic)
Upgrade: python-libtorrent:amd64 (0.16.17-1ubuntu3~ppa1~trusty, 1.0.6-1~ppa1~trusty)
End-Date: 2015-09-07 13:14:18
I noticed that error because I've 4 servers and only the one which didn't have that update installed still can connect to ipv6 trackers and clients.

Well, I've to say I've no idea where those are stored and google isn't helpful either to locate their default location.

Why would you need to search when the link I provided tells you where to go.

The only thing that is not detailed in the FAQ is about logging libtorrent itself but I have just added this too: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Buil ... untuDebian

Well, I reverted it back to version 0.16.17 and now ipv6 works again in deluge as well as in transmission. Gonna disable that ppa to be safe from future updates.
