Plugins not visible?

Running 1.3.11 daemon on ubuntu 15.04, python 2.7. I install plugins like the liborrent one and the total traffic one, and they show up to 'select' under preferences, and say they're selected, but never show up to view. Im at my wits end here, any help would be great. Can't see them in webui view, or connecting with a client on windows.

Your windows client is probably python 2.6, you have to specifically install a 2.7 version.
