Can't Create (Remote Path) Torrent - Rasbian / Deluge 1.3.11

hi all

i have deluge 1.3.11 running on a headless raspberry pi w/ rasbian which i access via ssh. it's setup with an external (EXT4) mounted to /media/external and all is working fine.. i can download torrents (from private trackers) and seed those torrents.

i'm now trying to create a torrent and having issues. heres my procedure
1) File -> create torrent
> create torrent popup appears
2) select Remote Path and enter path of folder I want to share in popup (/media/external/[foldername/) then press [OK]
> path & folder size then gets displayed in window
3) select Trackers tab and enter private tracker details
> tracker details appear in window
4) select Options tab and ensure 'Set Private Flag" & "ADD THIS TORRENT TO THE SESSION" are both checked then click {SAVE}
5) another popup appears and I select where .torrent file is saved
> select path and hit [OK]

> It's at THIS point I expect my Deluge Client to create and display the newly created torrent in seeding list but nothing happens.

Please help.. what am I missing??

ohh and if i attempt to create from "file" (locally) instead of "remote path" then the client displays the newly created torrent as expected.

its just remote path thats not working, which is frustrating as it's that remote (Pi & external) i want to seed from 24/7

any help would be so appreciated

Possible bug but the torrent file should be created, you could create it in a watch folder.

thats for reply @cas. could you please elaborate what you mean about the watch folder? i thought that was just to download torrents? I'm trying to create stuff to seed.

when i create a torrent, i see its indeed creating a .torrent but it is not adding the folder to the client and displaying it as 'seeding'

if i create it in a watch folder as you mentioned.. it then picks it up and trys to download it?! i want to seed it.

am i missing something here mate?

Use AutoAdd plugin to set the download location to the parent dir of the seeding file/folder.
