Hello all
I have been enjoying Deluge since making the switch from Windows but theres one issue that I find on opening Deluge.
All Torrents restart at 0% and dont pick up where they left off unless I force recheck every time I close and open Deluge.
It even happens with files that have finished downloading and instead of seeding it just tries to download them again.
All files are stored on a second HDD and not the filesystem so I did wonder if it was my fault for not mounting the disk before opening the program, but it doesnt seem to make a difference either way.
Is there a way to stop this happening?

Yes it is due to that, on Windows I don't know what the solution would be.
Re: Torrents starting at 0% when reopened
Hello! I am using Deluge Client: 1.3.11 , libtorrent: 0.16.17.0 , on linux mint 13 (maya) 64-bit!
But we are using gnu/linux not windows! I am not a programmer and couldn't imagine how hard would it be for deluge, when started, to check for disks that are mounted, and activate only those torrents from the mounted disks, and not download again to internal disk torrents that are already downloaded on a disk that is not mounted !
I have found this problem in another post: http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... =7&t=50705
How can we put it on the Bugs Section, so that maybe someone will fix it!?

Re: Torrents starting at 0% when reopened
I switched to Deluge yesterday and love it. But I tried to reload an old finished torrent (the file is on NAS but always on) and Deluge decided this 2.9gb .mkv was not a completed file and needed to be downloaded again in full.
Numerous force rechecks did not reveal that it was already downloaded, Trying to view the file in VLC was now also unsuccessful.
So has the force recheck corrupted the file?

No the downloading of the file again has wiped out the original file... http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/ticket/1032
Re: Torrents starting at 0% when reopened
The issue is why force recheck didn't realise this was a completed torrent. I tried copying an .mkv (and hiding it elsewhere) then adding the torrent to Deluge, saving to where the completed file was located (and then trying again with completed file in default save directory) but Deluge never saw it as completed, Opening the same file in uTorrent 3.1.3b27 and force rechecking sent it straight to seeding,
Re: Torrents starting at 0% when reopened
There is no issue with Deluge picking up existing data when adding a torrent so I am not sure what is different with your setup. The only thing I can think of is that there is an issue with the torrent file.
Re: Torrents starting at 0% when reopened
Appreciate the response but Cas there is no issue with the torrent file. As mentioned, uTorrent was able to load and check it and determine that it was a completed d/l.
I wish you well with Deluge, think it is a great start, but my two-day experience cost me over 8gb of data so regrettably I won't be continuing with it just yet. It's a shame as I LOVE the interface and so many other things about it.
All the best, I'll be watching the progress.

Think I may have solved this for me
