How do I know if it is an incoming connection or external

Post by fxjr »

Hi all!

How do I know if a peer connection is incoming (peer -> me ) or external (me -> peer)?

Thanks in advance.

You can just check the peers tab to see what their upload and download speeds are - if upload speed is zero, it's incoming, and if download speed is zero, it would be outgoing. Not sure if that was what you were asking, though...

Hi, Keiji.

Nope, it is not that what I'm asking. What I'm asking is if a connection is being done to my local port, 49158, for example or if its my host which is connecting to an exterrnal address.

right observation... You can understand if you are reachable from the extern... If you are "natted" :D
