[SOLVED] Queue disappears after relaunch - ver. 1.3.15

Post by cappy »

Whenever I quit deluge and start the app again my queue is completely gone. Running latest Mac OSX with deluge 1.3.15.

I had ~30 torrents in various states, I paused the session, quit app, opened app, queue gone.

Some plugins did not seem to stay active after app was re-opened. I concentrated on enabling desired plugins and reopened app several times before plugins desired stayed enabled. However 3rd party plugins did show up since the 1st relaunch of the app.

I have all my .torrent files archived. Is my only course of action to reload them, force a re-check and hope that the queue doesn't disappear again? What might I do to rectify this? :o :o :o

I used deluge.app from downloads section, not the mac ports. I tried looking the app contents and various Application Support folders to see if I could find where deluge saves stuff like the queue state etc. but I was unable to find it before I posted.

I did some reading online - Troubleshooting/FAQ webpages.

I ran deluge with a log file. I see that deluge successfully loads the state file & fastresume. When I check the directories that the files (state & fastresume) are in there are .torrent files there. When 'cat' each of the files it looks like info is in there that shows I had torrents running. However my deluge graphical window shows 0 torrents or activity.

Possibly my state files are corrupt? Best way to start from scratch?

I removed everything from my State folder and copied the contents to an archive folder.

I ran deluge again with logging. Contents of my log file upon fresh startup:

Not sure how to prevent plugins from trying to load multiple times. My torrent.state file contents look the same as stated in earlier post. fastresume file doesn't exist now. Obviously due to no torrents loaded.

I proceeded to add a small torrent and paused it right away and quit deluge then reopened it to have the torrent disappear again. Log file:

Possibly a permissions issue? Not sure as files appeared to get created.

I think part of my problem is I had a daemon running in the background with default settings and then I was using the client without connecting to the daemon. Still investigating further. I am now connected to the daemon and going through my settings which are currently all default.

So I think my problem was I had a deluge daemon running in the background with default settings. Then I proceeded to run deluge client in classic mode. I then started downloading and when I quit I would lose my state as the daemon had control of the state files I am guessing. Now that I am running my deluge client in thin-client mode and connecting to the daemon prior to adding a torrent I can quit my client and open it again with my state intact. Now to see if I can figure out where the daemon keeps it state files to see if I can copy my 'in progress state to it to continue.
