Now that I have some time off from work and school, I thought I'd make a post to let you know what I've been working on. I'm currently working on a more native Mac port of Deluge as a proper .app bundle, including a proper DMG installer.
Currently, everything works, at least to some extent. I have the client installed and running, and ~90% of the functionality works with little to no extra work. The only thing left to do, really, is to find a way to bundle this into an app for distribution
TODO:
Deluge.app - Work In Progress
DMG Installer
What Works:
GTK UI - Yes
GTK-Quartz - Yes, no X11 needed!
GTK-Quartz-Engine - Buggy
Tray Icon - No, will most likely disable in Mac client
Dock Icon - No
Native Mac Menu - No
Classic Mode - Yes, but CPU intensive
Remote Daemon - Yes
Web UI - No, currently missing some libraries on Mac
App Bundle - No, need to strip out as much unneeded data as possible, otherwise will have a 500MB .app!
DMG Installer - No

Yes!!!!!!!
I'm so so excited! I'd be willing to test it out as soon as it's out... as long as the sites I'm on will approve it. Hopefully the version number it gives will be one that's approved.
Ooh thank god Mac users have needed this so long.

This is a direct port of the Linux client, so if your tracker allows Deluge 1.2, it'll allow this.
That said. Wouln't it be better to focus on getting the daemon and webgui bundled?
But who am I to judge. If you want to make a native gui app, thank you
Is there anyway we could help out to get the webgui and daemon bundled with your .dmg?
I mean its fairly easy to get the webgui and daemon up and running with macports.

Why wouldn't it be included? You need the daemon for the gtkui to work.
Perfect, thanks so much. I run deluge on my linux server and have had to VNC into it from my Mac instead of just being able to run a local copy of the client with the daemon on the server, this will be great.
