Non-English torrent files not recognised

Post by ruiwei »

Once I rename the torrent files to something simple and retry, Deluge recognises and opens the files just fine. I have noticed this issue several times with the current version 1.3.12. I have searched the Internet on this problem before but could not find any information on it. Unfortunately, I do not have any example file names now, but I will ensure to update my thread as soon as I stumble upon the problem again.

What would you like me to do with that link? The bug describes something similar indeed but is probably something else. It was ‘fixed’ from version 1.3.5, and the most recent comment in that thread is from five months ago.

I believe that Deluge does not recognise any files with Chinese characters.

I have put this to a test. The name ‘你好,世界!.torrent’ for example, is not recognised by Deluge. I hope that this helps.

No it does not say it was fixed in 1.3.5! It says it will be fixed in the next release 1.3.13
