Don't know about anyone else, but even when I get the above error on XP SP2, my torrents still download fine !!!
Bizarre I know, but everything I've downloaded seems to work OK, even with the error.

Re: Visual C++ Runtime Error but torrents download....
we *hope* to have most of these runtime errors fixed relatively soon...we know the cause, so it's only the fixing part that's left we're trying...hopefully deluge on windows will soon be as rock solid as it is on linuxhullmackem wrote:Don't know about anyone else, but even when I get the above error on XP SP2, my torrents still download fine !!!

Re: Visual C++ Runtime Error but torrents download....
When I start deluge, I got Visual C++ Runtime error message,
solved:
1. delete "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\deluge" sub-dir.
2. taskmgr -> shutdown "dbus-daemon-deluge.exe"
3. restart

Re: Visual C++ Runtime Error but torrents download....
you can do that, but then all torrent will be lost, settings, peer exchange etc. you're going to start it all over again, download the torrent and such. it works but its not, how to put this... an elegant way/fixs. hope its just as easy as restarting the software not edit/delete temp or anything. its a bug or maybe its just windows, because linux users don't have this problem.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\deluge\torrentfiles
Just copy the files here. After you delete everything else and restart, just put back the files you copied to their original location once you startup deluge
