Re: New Bittorrent Encryption Proposal

I hear people on Comcast have Deluge running on full speed, can anyone else on Comcast vouch for these claims. If the current setup works even on Comcast ... I say don't fix it if it ain't broken.

Re: Proxy Server "Anonymizing Browser" Down

To be honest you cannot achieve 100% full support in the span of about 2-3weeks ... that is how long it was out before being shelved. These things take time, if anything this type of feature should have been slowly eased in. Maybe first you should of just made a plugin where there was an internal br...

Re: Proxy Server "Anonymizing Browser" Down

Instead of just removing a plugin, why not just enhance it a bit? The idea is good, so why not still allow a Proxy, and allow a user to configure there own Web Proxy rather than the one being provided. Deluge already has a setting for Web Proxies, can't we tie that into the Browser?

Re: Encryption Isnt Working At All..

Hey sorry about the wait, I was away for the New Years ... just got back. A neat site that can do Country Blocking is this: http://shareaza-security.puffinhost.com/countryblock/ Make sure to Allow the IP Ranges ... and deny all else *.*.*.* with subnet 255.255.255.255, this way you have to only Allo...

Torrent Peers Encryption Flags

Hello, can the feature to show Encryption level used be added to the Torrent Peers Plugin? I think it would be useful to debugging problems, and it wouldn't hurt to show this information. We could have it be turned on or off within the Torrent Peers settings just as the Flags feature is. If it displ...

Re: Encryption Isnt Working At All..

Try and see if uTorrent is also afflicted by the same issue ... maybe your ISP is employing CDP which uTorrent aka BitTorrent developed and is pushing. It pretty much means a ISP provided Cache, and could be those local connections you are observing. Also try a Country wide Blocklist, where in your ...

Re: Encryption Isnt Working At All..

Just from your own picture it would show that you are not being throttled ... believe me when I say this, you would really know when you are throttled. I used to be throttled with my previous ISP Rogers, and they would not let me get past 10KB/s you on the other hand are doing 317KB/s downloading an...

Re: Deluge users everywhere...Deluge 0.5.8RC1 Released!

This has potential but I also agree that it should be a Plugin and thus should disappear when not enabled ... even the display of a Browser UI is still bloat if the user intended to switch it off. I see where qcompson is coming from when he says that in the long run this will bring more problems the...

Re: Deluge users everywhere...Deluge 0.5.8RC1 Released!

Can the Proxy for the Browser be also used with Torrents downloading? If so it can be a new way to thwart those ISP's like Rogers that circumvent the use of Protocol Encryption.
