Otherwise you could use the "null" interface, ssh to the machine running deluge and then run deluge -u null and you'll have a cli for controlling deluge.

I don't think the BitTorrent protocol have support for chatting and I don't think it should get it either, its purpose being to distribute large files without using tons of servers.

How hard would it be to develop a curses interface for those who access their boxes through SSH? If it isn't too hard and someone could point me to a good curses tutorial I could give it a try (it would be a good reason to learn curses and get some python experience).

Share ratio not saved?
I'm running deluge version 0.5.6.2 and it seems to be calculating the share-ratio based on only the data uploaded during the current session and I would prefer it to be calculated form the data uploaded during all sessions. It did it "right" in previous versions, and I can't see any reason...

Please test rev.124 , it has improved error handling on the meta-data of a torrent.
