I have a preliminary version of a patch for this i wrote quite a bit of time ago, but andar didn't want to include such a feature in Deluge.. So.. For now i can only show that patch, its in attach.. Okay, after some feedback from andar patch updated to use the latest svn rev5780. Made some tweaks and reduced memory footprint.

In svn deluge now remembers last chosen download directory when "Ask where to save each download" is selected. Hope this will do it.

AdamW: GTK file open dialog has Places support on the left. You can just drag and drop your favorite directory there and then just double-click it and you will be taken there.

Seems like you added that torrent with compact allocation on and then switched preferences to full allocation. Allocation mode is per torrent, so if you added it while compact allocation was on - it will be in compact allocation mode no matter changes in preferences. So you can re-add torrent with f...
