Re: Deluge not reporting hash-checks properly
Actually, I just did a test that to me, seems not to follow how things should operate based on the caveats you guys describe. Maybe you can recreate my test to see if you get the same thing and if you believe it is expected behavior. It certainly seems like dangerous behavior to me. - So I start off...

Re: Deluge not reporting hash-checks properly
Just to clarify, "settings not being honored" is not really an accurate definition. If you uncheck the setting, or remove it from the ltConfig.conf file, it is no longer being set. It is technically honoring that by not setting anything, and the previous setting remains applied. You can s...

Re: Deluge not reporting hash-checks properly
Ltconfig saves current state, to use for reset when unticking option, but if ticking, changing, restarting and unticking, then the "default" gone and void, so cannot be set back properly. So, either have to ignore this, which I propose, as no clean way overcome, or, apply the possibly/pos...

Re: Deluge not reporting hash-checks properly
I'm still unclear here as to the order this is all done. So - session.state is managed by Deluge and contains the parameters to set libtorrent's operations, yes? While libtorrent's session state information is not unique, it seems Deluge's creation of a file named "session.state" and then ...

Re: All Deluge Downloads freeze (SOCKS5 Proxy??)
Unfortunately there really isn't another workable solution given my current setup. I have been using the SOCKS proxy for years now without issue. It seems to only impact my overall download speed a small amount. There are simply not any reliable ways on Windows to ensure 100% that all your traffic f...

Re: All Deluge Downloads freeze (SOCKS5 Proxy??)
I am resurrecting this thread because I have still not found a solution. I'm currently on 2.1.1 and have recently rebuild from scratch my Deluge setup (although I did manually port over many of my existing settings). I was dealing with this issue by having Windows automatically restart Deluge on a n...

Re: Libtorrent 2.0.8 update.
Hey guys. Since I'm luriking around for a bit figured I might go ahead and consider upgrading libtorrent versions. Quite honestly I can't say I am having any specific issues with 1.2.15 that comes with 2.1.1 so I'm hoping someone will just spoon feed me here real quick as to if upgrading is recommen...

Re: Deluge not reporting hash-checks properly
Thanks to both of you for continuing to look into this. I don't want to take the time to go through and quote both of your last posts to address each point individually, so let me just sum up some of my thoughts/responses: For one, I don't think I ever put forth the argument that this was "need...

Re: Deluge not reporting hash-checks properly
Hello guys, and nice to see you bengalih :) ... So, my humble opinion is this isn't deluge's problem, but a damn big problem regardless, from a usability standpoint. Yes you can delete session.state fine, and then you only just loose any options not already hardcoded by deluge or ltconfig. Hmm, hav...

Re: Deluge not reporting hash-checks properly
Yes, as I mentioned from the get-go this could have been a "perfect-storm" type of scenario, and I also agree that this doesn't indicate that something is inherently wrong with the core architecture of Deluge or the plugin system. From s development standpoint, I don't know what limitation...
